Mothertude, The Word on Blogging Appropriately

Hear, hear:
Longtime readers know that I blogged about my life while I was married, and my online writings were used in an unsuccessful bid for stripping me of my rights to see my older child. I was called a “pornographer” and was accused of exposing my children to sexual predators through my blog. I was [...]

God Doesn’t Hate Fags

Lo, my heart is warmed this Sunday with excellent news from earlier this week: God doesn’t hate fags and the church of Fred Phelps lost a righteous $10.9 million lawsuit:
A grieving father won a nearly $11 million verdict Wednesday against a fundamentalist Kansas church that pickets military funerals in the belief that the war [...]

Heh. Indeed.

All of the righteous indignation over the “injustice” done to Anthony Ciolli is completely misplaced. But also entirely entertaining. The news that he’s been sacked made my day. The semi-informed rantings of second rate law students just caps it.

It’s Not The State’s Job To Make You Feel Good About Your Religion

Ever since I first blogged about the irritating Indiana license plate debacle, I’ve been getting stupid comments like this (resist the urge to reach for the red pen, darlings):

There are more options than [...]

LULZ 154!!!!

The exceptionally TTT discussion board known as Autoadmit has recently come under fire for various reasons, notably their homophobic, misogynistic, anti-semitic, and vile threads immortalized by the Washington Post. In that article the co-founder of the board — defending the use of young women’s personal information on behalf of a beauty contest they’d neither [...]

Officer, You’re Harshing On My Holy Mellow

Best stoner arrest ever:
When he asked her if she knew why McDaniel stopped her, she stated “because I was walking in traffic.” Yes, that was correct, and he explained she couldn’t walk in the roadway. Then, he asked her if she was high on some kind of drug. Her answer, the report said, was “I [...]

Abortion Bill Fails in Indiana

Jessica doesn’t want to know why the bill failed due to fumbling over contraceptive issues, but it’s actually pretty obvious if you’re familiar with anti-abortion tactics.
A bill requiring doctors to tell women seeking an abortion that human life begins at conception failed to clear the Senate Monday.
Bill sponsor Republican Senator Patricia Miller of Indianapolis did [...]
