Added to the list of things I don’t do: Sending Xmas cards. There was that one time I sent out thank yous for Xmas gifts (in April), but I think that was the only time I’ve ever attempted anything remotely similar. I know my lack of card-sending has pissed other people off before but that in itself is just not an incentive.
Maybe I should just send out a single blanket THANK YOU – HAPPY BIRTHDAY – HAPPY HOLIDAYS to anyone who might expect one, ever.

Alternate punchline:
I sent out Christmas cards for the first time this year. I think it was from the guilt of sending out baby shower invitations the same day I received a few Christmas cards in the mail. And for the first time I had actually saved addresses in a place where I can find them next time I have to mail shit. I’m betting next year the card sending will be non-existent once again.
I don’t send them either. I do not get why it is such a big deal. I have to worry about presents AND pieces of paper someone will pick up, go “That’s nice,” and chuck it out too? I don’t think so!
I also don’t care if I GET a card for Xmas/Whatever either. But if you want one out of me and will get snitty if I don’t send you one, skip it.
Count me in the “never send cards, Christmas or otherwise” camp. Like Jennifer, I find it a waste. And now-a-days, if I want to send someone greetings, I’ll just send them a text message or IM them.
