Someone added me to their friends list on Facebook, which reminded me that I’m a member of Facebook, so I added all the people to my friends list that were in my Gmail account. Within five minutes I had ten replies.
Don’t you people have other things to do???? Feel free to not respond.
Wrong question. It’s because we have better things to do that we’re replying to your Facebook requests. Procrastination is an honorable past time.
Point taken.
No, no - we just know how to prioritize correctly.
You’ve talked about going to grad school, Lauren; you should know that Facebook is a grad student’s idea of “fun” when said student is parked in front of a computer for 14 hrs. a day in order to: 1) write a book review that’s 9 months overdue, 2) edit an article that is 2 months overdue, 3) try to read scanned documents handwritten in the 1820s, and 4) incorporate that material into a dissertation that this grad student is trying to finish in the next several months. While looking for a job.
Not that that refers to anyone I know…
No.
I completely agree with all the above comments. And I’m sorry if I was in the group who responded alarmingly fast. Just like the freak who lets the phone ring three times before answering, I actually A) get the Facebook notification then B) wait at least 10 minutes before clicking on it, and C) hope I get distracted in the process so I’m not one of those people who responds alarmingly fast.
So now you understand why I haven’t responded to your LinkedIn request, which currently sits in my inbox, ‘unread’, waiting for me to click and see what link is thusly revealed.
