Still Alive

It’s been exceedingly quiet around here, but I’m still alive. I went camping for the first time — where I learned that I am inept at fire-building — and also to Indiana Beach — during which I learned that I am excellent at the wolverine-shooting thingie called Gallery of Ghouls outside of Dr. Frankenstein’s castle, and also at mocking passersby. Both experiences were rednecky and wonderful.

Meanwhile, I work, which really gets in the way of my bloggery.

I love Indiana Beach. I thought it was great as a kid (the shooting gallery is awesome, plus the haunted castle). I thought it was boring and silly as a teen, and now as an adult I am again in love with it. I really like the boat ride now, plus feeding the fish.

“Proving once again there is more than corn in Indiana!” :D

yeah, i heard there was more than corn in indiana. but i thought they were talking about the soybeans. growing up in hill country, rather than in the region, may have contributed to this confusion.

but yay midway games. i am really feeling the need to attend a county fair lately. pet a cow, play the mouse game, point at huge produce, something.

good to hear that yr alive, ms. l.

    it’s important.

have you read this latest talk of our mutual husband, mos def, and what his legal wife has to say about him? what a mess. i’m not even gonna mention the nasty spin folks are putting on what she’s talking about. just google the name alana wyatt-smith and tell me you don’t see some pure foolishness.

Care to elaborate about the fire building experience? Did you document the camping excursion in pictures?

I’m going to be in Indianapolis for almost a whole week soon for a work conference. It includes a half day of free time, which frankly I’d rather do without to get home faster. I’ve been to downtown Indy enough to not want to spend the day there. I was thinking about just going to see a movie or two. Now, I have options.
