We had arrived in ignorance during Thanksgiving and ended up with the very last room available, which was next door to a long term resident. She had cat. A very fat cat. Each day she would open her room's door and the cat would take one, two, three steps and flop. And there he would remain all day. In the evening, she would open the door and the cat would take three steps into the room and flop again. I think that was its total activity for the day. If you let Merle get that bad, I doubt he'd be able to move around on his tiny legs. If that’s real, that is so not awesome.
