The Media Collective Gets Sexism in Action

My friend, a professed gadget geek, decided to take his recording equipment on campus and interview drunk passersby on the sidewalk as they come out of the bars on Purdue University’s main strip. He’s now releasing his recorded material as 2-5 minute podcasts that, as far as experimental radio goes, are pretty damn funny.

In this pilot the first group of people he interviews sounds like a crew of douchebags, with one interviewee judging a successful Friday night as being “the last man standing” at the bar and getting to screw the closest, drunkest “bitch” or “ho” that he can coerce home. The blatant misogyny being cheered by onlookers is astounding. And depressing. Which reminds me that no matter how much I miss being in school, I don’t miss my fellow students.

In the third clip, I do like hearing the bouncers play paper-rock-scissors to see who has to clean up puke.
