Ethan (almost 8) and my nephew (12) spent last week making stop-motion animation using a digital camera and a box of LEGOs. You’ll notice that once the pictures were completed they filmed a Windows slideshow of the pictures to animate the stills. The sound effects are Ethan. Soooo cute, and very creative especially considering the tools they had at hand.
WARNING: Some scenes include graphic decapitation of LEGO skeletons. No animals were harmed in the making of this film.

Don’t be surprised if this gets seen all over the world.
Dude, they have Lego skeletons and Lego skeleton horses now???
That was awesome. It definitely captured the Zelda feel, and Lego cuteness never hurts.
The video was amazing! I loved the sound effects, the animation, and the story. Great job E and cousin. Here are a couple of things that come to mind:
1. You need a better animation program. This is all I could find with a quick search that seems like it should do the trick: Beneton Movie GIF
2. Archive.org is full of “brick films”. This one should be put among them. There are tons of “brick film” sites. Be sure to check them out as well.
Keep up the great work!

Applause!

I offered to look up some video software for them but my nephew declined. This is entirely their creation. They even uploaded the video to YouTube by themselves.
That must have taken a lot of work. Bravo! The sound effects were awesome.
Bravo! That is most awesome. You have a creative genius on your hands, but that was obvious a long time ago! :-)
An excellent addition to the Zelda canon.
I especially love the little closeups of the hero and villain right before the climactic battle. Filmaker’s instincts…
I pushed play on that and my 5-year-old’s ears perked up from across the room. He came over and his little Lego-a-holic self made me play that film three times. He especially liked the scene at the end (he was viewing it from a Star Wars perspective…. Darth Vader, light sabers).
Now he wants the skeletons. We don’t have those.
Very cool.
