It just about killed me to find that thing--had his housekey on it and a Dogtown tag, and it just brought the picture to me so clearly, of him heading out the door, skateboard under his arm, chain jangling. As long as Matthew had that chain with the key, he knew he could travel anywhere in the world and still have a home to come to. Now it's hanging on my bedroom wall.
