Well, only two songs older than 75 years, and only one made in the last ten. Look for me as “Seymour” in a community theater production of Ghost World.
I think this group may own a wah-wah pedal, in a cover (Deep Purple) of a cover (Joe South).
wow, this is the first time in the history of forever that i’ve read your top ten and actually known (almost) half the songs! i am struck dumb with amazement. i think this is the closest i may ever come to appearing somewhat musically knowledgable.
the first time i heard california uber alles (on one of my boyfriend’s newly acquired punk compilations), i was totally horrified, and he had no idea why. i said, “uber alles? like the nazis? you know??” he had gone years listening to that song and not knowing the reference! which to me, seems to make the song fairly nonsensical :)
of course, after i got over the initial shock value, it’s now in regular rotation on my iPod. black comedy at its best, i think…
I think you mean “wah pedal” or even “wah wah pedal” since none of the guitars they’re playing have “whammy bars.”
I AM GOVERNOR JERRY BROWN

Oh, wow, the DKs. That takes me back to high school.
