Friday Cat Blogging: Introducing Frankie

My mother’s cat, Frankie, is actually a beautiful cat, and yet he’s a perfect example of flawed beauty. He’s a silver-tipped Himalayan with the unfortunate affliction of severe underbite and resultant snaggletooth.

Snaggletooth

These pics are blurry because he was fighting like the dickens. Public humiliation for fangedness apparently isn’t his bag. If you really want a good shot of Frankie’s amazing tooth, I’d check here.

Yeah, but are his other, non-snaggleteeth miniscule dots? My Persian has serious fangs (no underbite), but the rest of her teeth are so tiny…it’s adorable. Too bad she’s constantly chewing on the long hair around her neck that gets tangled on her fangs. Sometimes we trim her and since we’re completely unskilled, she looks like a poor little orphan kitty. Oh how she loves it, though! No groomer for her!

Frankie looks like a sweet, fluffy pillow cat. I bet he has a cute little cartoon voice, too.

Yes, he does have a cartoon voice–how did you know?

I called the local PBS station during a Cat Talk and the vet told me I could bring him in for a shave on the stomach and in his “privates” to get rid of the massive, dense knots he has accumulated in the past year and to help with cleaning. His birthday is March 4 and he will be one year old. Expect Happy Birthday pictures from the blog-mistress!!
