I find it really irritating that Bloglines won’t update my daily reads on my day off. Do they expect me to actually visit people’s webpages?

Hey, you did it back in 2005. My site has become substantially less interesting, and the other commenters are really no picnic, and it probably doesn’t load on certain types of browsers because it’s done with some beta version of WordPress that was written in FORTRAN in the late 70s, but… what was my point here?
I switched to Google-Reader a few weeks ago. Their updating seems better.
I don’t use a reader. I pretty much visit sites that I can remember the URLs to. Which means I only visit the sites I really like! Bad librarian.
I’m like SJ, although I can’t rely on my memory as much so I have daily favorites in a folder in the FF Bookmarks Toolbar Folder. Did you know you can make folders within the toolbar? I had no idea until a few months ago. I just never viewed the toolbar as a folder itself, so I never thought about doing it that way. For more, see here.
You might also consider the Sage or Wizz feed readers for Firefox. They integrate into your browser and are quite handy. You also don’t have to rely on Bloglines or something to update. You can do it yourself whenever you want.
