Friday Random Ten - The “Chumbly Bits” Edition

1) Deadbolt - Po’ Boy
2) The Dirtbombs - Got to Give It Up
3) Howard Tate - Glad I Knew Better
4) Joy Division - The Only Mistake
5) Dim Stars - Baby Huey (Do You Wanna Dance?)
6) Pere Ubu - On the Surface
7) Reigning Sound - We Repel Each Other
8) Lenny Kravitz - I Built This Garden For Us (Should be on the guilty pleasure list since I love to hate on Lenny Kravitz.)
9) Penetration - Don’t Dictate
10) Gun Club - Sex Beat

Bonus Friday Video: The McGreevin Brothers, a bad slasher flick made by Chef’s coworkers in under two weeks for the NYC Movie Making Madness contest. This is one of those times when I wish I could have edited the final cut. Anyhow I get to see one of my favorite people ever brutally murdered (spraying dyed corn syrup), so that’s my end of the week bonus. I admit, it was amusing to see the final cut. See Lauren’s hometown!

There was a time when Lenny Kravitz was considered an authentic talent, alternative college rock even, back in the Lisa Bonet years. I still like Mr. Cab Driver (”fuck you, I’m a survivor!”)
