100 Things About Me: #9

I once bought a book by Gary Indiana because I recognized the name. It took me a good two years to figure out why.

Don’t get it. Is it an American thing?

Major American city, Indiana side of Chicago.

Jesus, you haven’t been anywhere, have you?

And I suppose you somehow failed to note that the Jackson 5 were from Gary?

I say that, of course, because it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy to know that I know something an Insufferable Music Snob doesn’t.

Major as in Major Crime Capital of the Midwest, maybe the country.

No, I’ve been through Gary and to Gary. My BFF4EVA used to live there. For some reason I didn’t make the connection that the author’s moniker was punning off of the city.

In other words, I’m a flake.

Ah. Right. Didn’t get it, but I knew of the existence of Gary, since I used to play in a Vampire campaign taking places at Gary/Chicago. Just didn’t make the connection - at all.
